Is the end of the world near?

Is the end of the world near?  Will God destroy the world?  Will He punish and condemn people? Will He send plagues, calamities, evil, hunger, famine, death and sufferings to the world? Will He banish people to eternal damnation?
Before we answer these questions, please allow yourself to do this activity.  And this exercise will help you discover, understand and realize many truths about life, death, love and faith.

Imagine yourself a father/mother...  You have a lovely child who has brought joy in your family.  He/she gave meaning to your life.  You do consider him/her as the greatest gift from God.  But as he/she grew up, you have experienced a lot of problems and difficulties in rearing and taking care of your beloved child.  He/she is a problem child.  He/she has brought you a lot of pain and sufferings.  He/she disobeys and disrespects you.  He/she dropped out of school.  He/she wasted all your time, resources and money.

He/she got hooked on drugs, alcohol, sex and other vices. But, despite his/her shortcomings and sins, you continue to love him/her unconditionally.  Nothing stopped you from seeing his/her beauty and goodness.  You still continue to care for him/her.  You are still willing to give up everything, even your life, for him/her.

It's judgment day!  You are given by God the chance to pronounce judgment on your child.  His/her fate depends on your hands.  You will decide if he/she will go to heaven or be doomed to hell.

Imagine your most precious and beloved child, whom you carried in your womb for 9 months, for whom you sacrificed your life, whom you took care for years and for whom you've been working so hard,  kneels in front of you asking for your mercy and waiting for your verdict.

As a mother/father, what will be your decision?  What will you do?  Before you make a decision, please close your eyes, ponder about this carefully and search your heart. You have 2 minutes to do this... Don't read the text below. Pause for 2 minutes first.....

Now, after searching the deepest recesses of your heart, what is your decision?  What will you do at that moment?  Will you hold his/her hands, help him/her to stand and embrace him/her? Will you accept him/her again?  Will you forgive him/her?  Will you love him/her again?

If you can do it, how much more God who is the oasis of love, mercy and forgiveness?  If a human being can love his/her child conditionally, how much more God whose love is everlasting!

Read this beautiful love letter of God for you. Relish and savour every word. Open your heart. Let Him speak to you! Let Him forgive you. Allow Him to love you!  Receive His healing love and mercy for you!

Love, Your Dad,

Almighty God

Go back to the questions we posted earlier.  Is the end of the world near?  Will God destroy the world?  Will He punish and condemn people? Will He send plagues, calamities, evil, hunger, famine, death and sufferings to the world? Will He doom people to eternal damnation?  What do you think are the answers? It's for you to choose what your answers are! May God bless you.
